I’m saddened to inform you that our 2020 Connecticut BJJ Open has been officially cancelled. It will not be rescheduled this calendar year, but we have already secured March 27th and 28th of 2021 at the Floyd Little Athletic Center to try again. . For many reasons it's neither prudent nor possible for us to host the event. With such a large tournament we would not be able to follow state health and safety regulations. The venue, being a high school, is also unlikely to allow any events to be hosted this summer and beyond so it was probably going to be a moot point anyway. . Though the tournament is cancelled, our Connecticut 2020 Sub-Only Showcase will take place as scheduled, on August 15th, at @soulcraftmartialarts in Hamden, CT, not far from the original venue (thanks @brad_wolf2 ! ). That event will be closed to the public but streamed LIVE for FREE on our YouTube channel. . All paid competitors are entitled to a full refund and all fundraisers will receive their fundraising perks. If this applies to you, please check your inbox for an email from Tap Cancer Out with all the details. A link to the content of that email is in our IG bio as well. That email will answer a ton of your questions so please please please read it in full. . If you have any further questions, reach out to us at registration @tapcancerout .org. We are still not back in the office full-time so please be patient as we try to manage the needs of our 700+ competitors. . Thank you all for the support during this time. Stay safe, be well, and we hope to see you soon!
