My final mission for my @rallyhealth series is to DANCE more. Did you know dancing can help burn more calories than running or swimming? I recruited dance extraordinaire @ryan .heffington who’s worked with superstars like @britneyspears , @sia and @emmastone , to show me some moves! PS: I may or may not have taught him a move or two!😉 PPS: I highly recommend doing Ryan’s dance class - he hosts it every Wednesday over on his Instagram page( @ryan .heffington )! It’s sooo fun. #kcmpartner #dance #move #fitness

For her 39th birthday, we’re featuring Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex in today’s #SeeHer Story. An LA native and @northwesternu grad, Meghan nabbed her breakout role in Hollywood as Rachel Zane in Suits. In 2016, Meghan met Prince Harry on a blind date - and 2 years later, almost two billion people watched their wedding. But life as a royal wasn’t always a fairytale. #meghanmarkle #happybirthday #seeherstory #duchessofsussex #royal #toyalfamily #princeharry #wcw

Hey everyone! First of all, good morning! Secondly, as many of you know @alroker is one of the kindest, funniest guys on the planet. AND he’s got a new book out called “You Look So Much Better in Person: True Stories of Absurdity and Success” It really is hilarious what well meaning people sometimes say to you. Such a touching moment. 12 year old Tybre Faw honored his hero John Lewis today by reading Mr. Lewis’s favorite poem “Invictus.” When Tybre was 10 years old, he drove seven hours to Selma, Alabama hoping to meet John Lewis. He waited hours outside of a church holding a sign that read, “Thank you Rep. John Lewis. You have shown me how to have courage.” You did a beautiful job, Tybre. Your hero would be proud. #johnlewis #restinpeace

Please Read. John Lewis wrote this essay shortly before his death, and asked that it be published upon the day of his funeral. “Though I may not be here with you, I urge you to answer the highest calling of your heart and stand up for what you truly believe. In my life I have done all I can to demonstrate that the way of peace, the way of love and nonviolence is the more excellent way. Now it is your turn to let freedom ring.”❤️

#FacesOfCOVID : Dr. Joseph Costa was the intensive care unit chief at Mercy Medical Center in downtown Baltimore. He died there on July 25th of COVID-19, surrounded by admiring colleagues and staff, and his husband of 28 years. He was 56 years old. “He dedicated his life and career to caring for the sickest patients,” Sister Helen Amos, chair of the hospital’s board of trustees said. “When the global pandemic came down upon us, Joe selflessly continued his work on the front lines - deeply committed to serving our patients and our City during this great time of need.” As the deadly virus spread, Dr. Costa continued to work on the frontlines despite having a rare autoimmune disorder. The virus had already sickened another physician and several staff members in the ICU. “I begged him not to go to work,” his husband David Hart said. Dr. Costa began showing COVID-19 symptoms on June 26th and was diagnosed the next day. He went to the hospital and then returned home where he was placed on steroids. His condition worsened, and he was brought back to Mercy where he was put on a ventilator and later slipped into a coma. “I kept thinking, now there is one less ICU doctor to take care of pandemic patients in Baltimore,” Mr. Hart said. “He loved his job more than anything in the world. Joe gave of himself, his time, talent and treasure. He was a very egalitarian person who when he did the scheduling made sure he worked Thanksgiving and Christmas and when I would ask why, he’d say ‘We don’t have children and these folks do.’” Rest In Peace, Dr. Costa. You mattered.

My @rallyhealth mission this week is to eat more fish - because fish is high in SO many good things, like Omega 3, fatty acids, and protein! Padma Lakshmi - chef, author, host and executive producer of Taste The Nation on @hulu shows me how to make her DELICIOUS halibut with cabbage recipe. Seriously - you’ve got to try this dish! #kcmpartner #healthycooking #fish #eatmorefish
