CONFIDENCE WITH EXPERIENCE 🙏🏼 • • • • I was having a conversation with a very old friend of mine from school today, and we were laughing so much at how anxious and nervous we were after turning 25 about ‘adulting’ and getting older. If I could tell my younger self just how good life is the more you experience it, I would have saved so many tears 😂 as I’ve gotten older, I’ve gotten to know myself more, I’ve gotten more comfortable with who I am, and fallen more in love with my life than ever before. That’s not to say my life is perfect, far from it! But it’s almost like when you first start a job to when you have more experience in it. Ardha Matsyendrasana, my favorite pose to access the Spleen meridian, many points along this meridian are known to soothe cycle discomfort SP6 Yin meeting, SP4 Yellow Emperor, SP10 Ocean of Blood. Personally this asana greatly helps relieve menstrual pain, I also find it very grounding, warming, calming, almost contemplative. I can feel tension melt away around the kidney band too and tumultuous thoughts seem trivial; once the Qi is unlocked, stagnation thus cramps may subside. It's important imo to hold this pose a minimum of 3 minutes and to breathe bigger once in it, to give the nervous system a shot to release. Its also commonly practiced in supine position, but seated you can add the arm bind to dig deeper if that's your will.
