I switched out the rims and tires on the dodge today, and ended up with four giant 22 inch wheels to play around with for a couple of days. I used a bathroom scale to weigh them out at 70 pounds, and was able to slap together a heinous 160 pound rig for close grip ez bar curls. Even though I had clamps, there was no way to secure the bar tightly within the rims, so I was stoked to be able to crank out a gritty set of 7 before the whole setup started to collapse on me. I’m really excited to see that the strength is still there after ramping up the cardio the last few weeks, where I’ve been working super hard to dial in all aspects of fitness knowing that Hoboken will be a bonafide shitshow for any athletic endeavors when I get back. I honestly don’t know how long I’m going to be able to get good workouts in these days, so I’m just making sure to stay grateful for the resources I currently have and keep taking it day by day. #fitnessjourney RECAP 🌟 I have been trying to write this post since Monday and yet couldn’t do it. So finally here I am 😍 Those of you who have been following me since last year know that I started working out and achieved amazing results within a few months. I started with Zumba three days a week and it kick started my metabolism. After that I had to give it a break because I travelled back home for vacation and by the end of it I injured my knee and was on rest for a month. I started walking for 30-40 mins in that month and then started #yoga , three days a week. . . Yoga helped in muscle toning a lot. And I loved all the sessions. I continued walking off and on. And lost six kgs by end of October. All this with no strict diet or spending too much money on gym membership. And then there was a long break from November onwards as I went to Amritsar for my sister’s wedding and immediately after that we moved to Angola. Everything was going well till March as I was still active and watching my food intake. And the lockdown ruined my progress. Emotional eating ,stress and lack of sleep led to weight gain. I won’t beat myself for that because that was my body’s natural way to combat the unexpected stress and thankfully I understood that soon enough to realise that I needed exercising back in my life. And here we are today 😍 . . Exercising and healthy eating should not be a short term change just to lose weight but a lifestyle change to give the body healthy nutrition that it deserves.
