That I did all the things required. To be honest, however, exercises like Bulgarian split squats, isometrics, spin bike on off days, and hamstring curls might have fallen off in prioritizing the big lifts. ⁣⁠ ⁣⁠ Now rehabbing I am doing just the things I ignored and seeing tremendous benefits. It took an injury to remind me to move in different planes and strength in less than typical gym movements. ⁣⁠ ⁣⁠ Don’t forget to do the little things to keep you healthy. It's been a long time since I've been this #happy with what I'm actually doing for a living . I wish I enjoyed PT but I just don't. It lends itself to some of my #skill sets like attention to detail (genuinely struggling to think of more. I swear there are more 🤣 ) but I think the unpredictable working hours, late nights, instability of income and other factors just overshadow any positives I do get from the job and contribute to my #mood being so up and down . I've had a week in the kitchen @wearefoodisfuel and I'm excited to be assisting @sbgsouthshields when classes aren't on and I'm already enjoying my #training much more as a result . It's early days and it's all new so it won't always be sunshine and rainbows - I'll probably even have a few lows as a result of how much #fun I'm having in work at the minute. Sounds daft but it happens to me frequently . I genuinely feel like this is probably the best decision I could have made for my #life right now and my training is now actually a release again. Not just another hour or two spent in the #gym . I'm still going to be available for PT sessions for technical adjustments to your #lifts so you get more out of your training. That's the part I love the most about PT . I'm not enough of a people person to #train multiple people daily, listen to multiple problems (mostly first world problems too ) and just be around a lot of people in general . That probably sounds horrible, to not want to deal with people's problems but I am definitely guilty of getting too invested in that, maybe so I can convince myself that I don't need to deal with my own problems . I'm staring to enjoy the process of documenting anything I do and posting clips from my phone like this that may not be the most refined but definitely feels the most stress free. Heavy back day today. We started with some heavy rack pulls. Pulled my adductor last night taking my socks off.. true story.. Just remember. Working out is supposed to be a fun experience and it’s good for you! You don’t HAVE to squat bench deadlift to workout, you don’t have to be a bodybuilder, you don’t have to run marathons, going to the gym for your own reasons and doing what YOU want to do there is more than ok.
