In love with my new @wearetala set🍀. Had been waiting for this colour to restock & I’m so glad I managed to get my hands on some when it did. I’ve always struggled with the size of my legs but in all honesty, I can say that’s really starting to change. This is the first time I have felt confident enough to order a pair of fitted gym shorts. I’ve got @shreddy & @gracebeverley to thank for that! ⭐ END OF THE WEEK UPDATE ⭐ I have been so MIA on posts this week, this week has been a complete writeoff - my endo flare ups have meant not completing workouts, being generally far less active, and even having to take a few days off of work 🚫 . . . WHY DO YOU TRAIN? Years ago when I first started getting into fitness, my main reasoning behind training (like many ) was for aesthetics. I remember when the novelty of it started wearing off and training started to feel like a chore. • Fast forward many years, I soon shifted my mindset, took a step back for a bit and started training for what I now consider the right reasons. I met @coachqu_gymhacker who transformed & educated me, changing my mindset on training, and I started to see the results I wanted. I train because I like to feel strong, fit and healthy. Training and investing into your health is one of the best things you can do for yourself. I like to be able to play sports with fatiguing, lifting an obnoxiously sized flat-pack furniture box Ikea on my own, cycle a long distance etc etc 😂 • Soon enough, I Ioved training again and the aesthetics just came as a secondary benefit when I wasn’t focused on them. So if you’re finding yourself in the rat race of training for a certain “look” (unless you’re competing then of course you have to train to look a certain way ), take a step back and shift your mindset! i’ve taken a bit of a backseat with my fitness over the last few weeks. i haven’t been in the right mindset to do anything apart from go to work, make it through the day and get hime to bed. i’ve been spending more time with family and going out doing things and starting to get my life back to ‘normal’. - i started the shreddy challenge and failed big time. i think i went into it with the wrong motivation. over the next week i’m going to get my diet back on track, track my foods, and exercise at least 3 times this week. i’m not going to set unrealistic goals because i’ll only beat myself up if i don’t hit them. - - #shreddy #fitness #fitnessmotivation #fitnessjourney #workoutmotivation #sundayvibes

#sitdownsundays edition 12 with @rozzyfit 🤓 ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Roz got into fitness at uni 10 years ago! she found a love for weights after being bored of cardio. 3 years ago she trained to be a personal trainer & has loved it since. ⠀ ⠀ Q: tell me more about your baking?! ⠀ ⠀ I’ve always loved baking (and licking the spoon!! ). When I returned from my travels to SE Asia I made my passion a career. I taught myself to bake and opened my own market stall in Camden. I did this for 6 months. Then I started working for Crumbs and Doilies (the best bakery in London ) and learned how to bake and decorate amazing cakes!⠀ ⠀ Q: how did you start YouTube? ⠀ ⠀ YouTube has always been on my list of things to do! Lockdown has given me more time to do it - main challenge is being confident on camera but it is getting easier!! I remember fantasising about having my own cooking show so I really have fun with the cooking videos 😁⠀ ⠀ Q: Top tips for self love! ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ I want to be a positive voice in the fitness industry and encourage women to love their bodies. My top tips for self love are: 1. Move that amazing body of yours each day and fill it with food and drink that helps you thrive! 2. Stop the comparisons- there is no one else on this earth like you so you cannot fairly compare yourself to someone else. 3. End all toxic relationships and surround yourself with people that lift you up! 4. Step out of your comfort zone and try something new! Your experience will probably be positive. 5. Find something you are grateful for every day! ⠀ ⠀ Q: day in the life? ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Since lockdown it’s been a bit different! Start with a coffee always, I usually have a PT client on zoom in the morning, or in the park. Then I do my own workout, have a big breakfast, bake any orders I have and get them ready to be posted out, eat lots of snacks! I’m a super chilled evening person so I love snuggling up with a movie in the evenings 🥰⠀ ⠀ Q: best advice? ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ That we are able to attract into our lives whatever we put our minds to. STAY-CATION!!✨ My fiancé and I were able to get a way for the weekend and it was much needed! - Trying to eat/drink healthy while on vacation is hard. You want to try all the foods & you want to have a good time. I had to try and use my will power/self control a lot during this trip and continue to tell myself - “you really don’t need an entire bowl of pasta to yourself” 😅 So him and I shared most of the dishes we had this weekend. - So that it my accomplishment of the weekend, which doesn’t seem big. Hope all of you are doing well! How did your week go? Are you looking forward to this week? My workouts from this week! I took Saturday off as I had really stepped it up this week compared to previous weeks. Over the last 2 weeks, I have tripled my weekly mileage and my legs and hips are feeling it, but I’m proud of myself for doing it! I usually convince myself I can’t do heavier mileage when I 100% can, and I forgot how good it feels to do 5 miles (~ 8 km )! 🌈 Gyms open in 12 days 💗 - I’ve gone from 2 years of consistently training 5 to 6 days a week to 4 months of really just “doing my best” which has consisted of working out 3 to 4 times a week, nowhere near the same intensity, no workout split & doing what I’m in the mood for - Physically I’m not as strong, I’ve lost about 10lbs in weight which is majority muscle weight, & I will definitely gain that back once I start training & increasing my calories - I’ve been really kind to myself & just taken it a day at a time, seen how I feel in myself & to be honest I think it’s been really good for my body - I won’t be rushing back to the same weights I was using pre lockdown, I will go back to a workout split but my approach to training is going to be very different. ☀️Finding balance☔️ I’ve always been an all or nothing person in all aspects, including fitness, so this past week when I’ve taken my foot off the gas a little bit, it was so easy for me to feel guilty. But as life goes back to normal (and I start my new job tomorrow😬 ) I’ve had to admit to myself that exercising as much as I have done in lockdown just isn’t going to be possible anymore, and that’s okay - Im just going to have to find a routine that works for me! So these past couple of weekends I’ve tried to not listen to the voice telling me how many calories are in alcohol or a takeaway when I’m reality I’ve had the best few days with my friends and at the end of the day that’s far more important than a number on a scale ☺️ #weightloss #balance #shreddy

Week 2 of @shreddy done ✔ Swipe ➡️ for bike ride views and ➡️ Strava stats! Got there in the end after my unanticipated hangover yesterday 🥴 Finished the week with arms and abs today 💪 The only thing I really struggled with was having the tricep extensions and double pulse tricep dips one after the other, starting to think I just don't enjoy tricep exercises 😅 they're definitely a really weak muscle group for me and need working on! 🍝 🧅🥕 ROASTED VEGETABLE CREAMY CHEESE PASTA 🥕🧅🍝 I thought I’d share the recipe for this as a few of you messaged to say how delicious it looked! It’s super easy & nutritious & gluten free! 🍝 1 ) Roast - carrot, red onion, butternut squash, peppers, courgette, chestnut mushrooms in a little oil for 30-40 minutes 🌱 2 ) Boil your pasta of choice! I used wholemeal spaghetti (~80g per person ) 💛 3 ) Cheese sauce - 500ml of milk (vegan milk for me ), 4 tbsp of gluten free cornflour & 150g of cheese/vegan cheese. Heat in a pan until it thickens 🧀 4 ) Once all elements are cooked mix together & serve ✨ If you’ve got this far down, I hope you all have a chilled out Sunday! I hate the word toned. . Girls like using this word to describe their gym goals. “I want to get toned”. . The reason I hate this is because by using the word toned you gloss over what your true goals are . Sure we all kinda have an idea of what you might mean by being toned but because it’s just not specific enough is super misleading. . “Toned” is really just a buzz word in the fitness industry. It would be more accurate to say “build some muscle, and loose some fat” but that’s not very sexy sounding. . On top of that the over use of the word toned has lead women astray. Women run from the idea of building muscle even though it’s a key component in the “toned” look a lot of women say they want. . So rethink your use of the word toned and encourage women to build some muscle. . SHE FIT INTO THE DRESS 👗 I bought this dress back at the beginning of the year; intentionally smaller, knowing I would make it so I fit into this dress by summer ... It’s my last day as a 23 year old and I just wanted to leave you with a few points of wisdom I have learned in the last year. 1️⃣ Give yourself a break. You can’t be perfect all the time, so stay in bed an hour longer, eat that pizza, don’t get changed out of your PJs, listen to your body and do what feels right. Don’t force yourself to do something because everyone else is. 2️⃣ Make mistakes. If we don’t make mistakes (and I do ALLLL the time ) how are we suppose to learn? Don’t be afraid of giving something a go and not getting it right first time. Practice makes perfect. 3️⃣ Stop comparing yourself. Through my teenage years I was constantly trying to be skinnier like other girls. When I hit 20, I wanted to be as skinny as my 18 year old self. When I was 22, I wanted to be like I was when I was 20. Now I am almost 24, I’ve learnt that I am perfect the way I am and my imperfections are what make me, me. 4️⃣ Say no. It’s ok to say no. No to the plans you don’t want to be a part of, no to anything that makes you feel uncomfortable. You don’t have to please anyone but yourself. 5️⃣ Take the leap of faith. I was so worried creating this account that I would be made fun of and that no one would like what I posted. I have made some amazing friends and have gained so much knowledge so just do it! Do what you love and don’t care about what anyone else thinks. *this is an old photo, I’m not actually brave enough to go to a restaurant yet 😂


Daily Accountability Me and Strava are going to have serious words. Two weeks in a row now and I let it tick over to 12.1 miles. Anyhow 12 miles run, I had serious Dom's from my new Shreddy workouts to start with. But I set off in a good mood and I put my music on and pushed on.
