Todays meals are a bit of the same as yesterdays although the bolognese was fresh today as yesterdays was out the freezer! Served with half a ww wrap with 1tsp flora light (so 3 syns in total ) and 40g light cheddar hexa. Leftover salt and pepper chicken with some lettuce for lunch and overnight oats and a nectarine for breakfast! It’s a muscle ..⁣ ⁣ Will power is like a muscle the more you train it the stronger it gets⁣ ⁣ Seriously...willpower is a muscle for sure. ⁣ Learning to just walk away from the kitchen is hard sometimes when you are stressed....in fact it's almost impossible. So grab a glass of water and chug it instead and go distract yourself. ⁣ ⁣ Learn when your body is really needing food or if it is just needing comfort...most of the time it's just comfort eating. ⁣ ⁣ Especially in the late afternoon/early evening and then late night...that's all to do with your hormones/cortisol shifting and just looking for that sugary fix to give you a quick boost of energy but those sugary foods are short term fixes so grab something that keeps your blood sugar stable and doesn't send it on a roller coaster ride spiking it up and down.⁣ ⁣ Something with a good amount of protein and fat. At night one of my favorites is my vegan quinoa black bean taco dish because that fills me up and satisfies me the best. I make a big batch and freeze lil grab and goes for me 👌🏼You can do hard boiled eggs 🥚 If I NEED chocolate i'll have a piece of 80% cacao dark chocolate--it's like 50 calories and 3 grams of sugar and is so rich that it kills the craving. Lily’s chocolate uses stevia no sugar but has dairy ..⁣ ⁣ Know your triggers and know what needs to be done when those times arise when you just want to eat a whole bucket of ice cream...learn what your body is really saying to you instead of just giving in every time. ⁣ ᐧ⁣

Anyone else entering the phase of summer break where you may be losing your mind ?? 🤪 . I know I always talk to you guys about fitness, but let’s talk a little bit about nutrition today.. . Sometimes I neglect to share with you the number ONE reason why I've continued to drink my shake daily for the last 63 months! YES, the health benefits are plentiful... Antioxidants, adaptogens, probiotics, fiber, protein, and all of your daily vitamins without ANYTHING artificial... But, I am a 41-year old #boymom to an 8-year-old and 5-year old AND now a #puppymom too! 🤪 Do you know how much energy 2 boys & a puppy have? It's INSANE!!! Eating. Snacking. Screaming. Farting. Like all day.... Unless they are sleeping! 💤 . So....I drink one shake daily to give me the natural ENERGY I need instead of drinking multiple cups of coffee. 🤩 . Don’t get me wrong, I still drink 1-2 cups per day, but nothing like the POT I was drinking daily 5 years ago. Not to mention it was loaded with cream and sugar, or I was hitting up Starbucks daily for a triple venti caramel latte ☕️☕️☕️ A $6, 50g of sugar-loaded beverage. Talk about empty calories and wasted money!😆 I relied on those drinks to get me through the early toddler years and often sacrificed sleep because I was so jacked up. 🧟‍♀️ . Now, I'm up at 6am everyday, I don't sleep in, I don't nap, and I get 7-8 hours of sleep each night. My energy level is stable all day long! . No one makes me drink a shake. No one pays me to drink a shake. I choose to.... It's an investment I make in myself. For me, it's not about weight loss.. It's for health benefits.. And for the ENERGY! 🤩 . Most days I want to hide in the closet, or lock myself in the bathroom to escape... but today I’m choosing to embrace the chaos!! 💕

How to Break Diet Boredom⠀ ⠀ I just got off a call with a client yesterday. She's been crushing it for the past month with her fitness goals. ⠀ ⠀ She's been leaning out, building muscle, and staying consistent.⠀ ⠀ One of the topics we discussed was changing food choices. ⠀ ⠀ She's fine with eating the same things over and over again, but she tells me it does get boring after a while.⠀ ⠀ Although you can eat the same foods all the time, you might have to rotate them in order to maintain motivation and consistency. ⠀ ⠀ You can easily swap out what you're current eating with something similar. Here are some examples:⠀ ⠀ 1️⃣ Peanut butter to cashew butter⠀ ⠀ 2️⃣ Sweet potatoes to regular potatoes⠀ ⠀ 3️⃣ Chicken breast to chicken thigh⠀ ⠀ 4️⃣ Brown rice to wild rice or quinoa⠀ ⠀ 5️⃣ Broccoli to Brussels sprouts⠀ ⠀ 6️⃣ Overnight oats to chia seed pudding⠀ ⠀ And if you need to, look up the calorie and macro difference between the two to know your portion sizes. ⠀ ⠀ If you've been bored with your diet, it's time to change it up a bit. ⠀ ⠀ Do you eat the same things every day? A client of mine recently asked me a question about “saving calories” during the day, so that there was more room for holiday treats and a large dinner. I highly encouraged them not to take on this approach. Hands up if you love snacks!🙌⠀ •⠀ •⠀ I am a big fan of snacking, but for so many years📆I would pre-portion my snacks instead of allowing myself to enjoy them straight from the bag. I’d end up going back 2-3 times to fill my little bowl up, and it would have made a lot more sense to enjoy what I wanted out of the bag and call it a day! Except for one ☝️barrier... the thought of eating my snacks straight from the bag caused me total anxiety😖. I feared I wouldn’t be able to stop snacking and that I’d eat the whole thing in one sitting! ⠀ •⠀ •⠀ I decided one day I really had to get over this fear so I could enjoy things like unlimited popcorn🍿on movie dates and trust myself at home alone with food🍫. Using my proven framework that I teach clients in my 1:1 Food Freedom Program, I built body trust with myself by becoming in tune with my hunger and fullness cues, which allowed me to eat any and all snacks out of the bag and easily stop eating when full and satisfied🙂. This felt so freeing and helped me overcome the anxiety I used to feel on movie date nights, for example, when I’d fear eating alllll the popcorn just because it was there!🍿⠀ •⠀ •⠀ Today, one of my favorite snacks that supports me in my life of food freedom is @popcorners Sweet Chili Popped-Corn Snack ( #ad ) 🤩. Sweet or regular potatoes? Let me know which you prefer in a comment.🍠🥔 . Fun fact, I never had sweet potatoes until I was in college and my now husband made me try it! I thought I would hate it but oh was I wrong. So so so good! I love making sweet potato fries or baked sweet potatoes. . This recipe right here is super simple and can be prepped ahead of time for the week.🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️ . Ingredients: 1 medium sweet potato 3 oz cooked organic ground turkey 1/4 cup organic plain yogurt 1/2 cup salsa Cilantro to taste . Instructions: Bake or boil your sweet potato (whichever your prefer ). I boiled my potato in water for about 35 minutes. You can poke it with a knife to see when the inside turns soft. Sauté your ground turkey. Once cooked, open up the potato and stuff it with 3 ounces of turkey. Place yogurt and salsa on top. Sprinkle with cilantro. Enjoy. . Eating 100% clean, selling your soul to veggies, and doping on Kombucha like it's holy water can be JUST as mentally toxic as bingeing on Big Macs is physically toxic. ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ If you continue to completely pivot your eating habits overnight, you will most likely continue to diet in nonstop cycles only to crash into a bag of Doritos (or two ) at the end. ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ 👉Dieting has NOTHING to do with cutting out all junk food. ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ Let me say that again because 20+ years of misinformation about nutrition has clouded your ability to hear the truth: ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ DIETING HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH CUTTING OUT ALL JUNK FOOD. ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ You wanna lose weight to feel zesty? To feel energized?
