I saw a post the other day from a fellow trainer and #fitthick queen describing her feelings about her back and how she had come to accept it. (She has also had skin removal surgery on her stomach. ) Just like belly fat, back fat is sometimes slow to change. When people ask me how they can lose fat in a certain place, I already know they won't like my answer. It takes time and in some cases, it may go away but the excess skin may not. If your body/genetics wants fat in a certain place; you can attempt to starve yourself, kill yourself with cardio, slather yourself in Vick's vaporub and shrink-wrap it if you want to. It will take its sweet time. You can see that the rolls shrank some but I obviously still have them. Like everything else in a health and fitness journey, it's a process. - Don't be tempted to compare your progress to anyone else's. ⚠️ I don’t own the rights to this music ⚠️ 🛑🤫 Yes she has been cleared to continue to train at this intensity and at B-Fit Training by her Physician 🤐🛑 38 weeks and still pushing it. Her rest periods are longer, resistance is lower, and exercise selection is limited but she continues to show up and push it 5x a week. I’m grateful that she has allowed me once again to Coach/Train her along this journey. This will be her 4th child and she has continued to get in better shape. ✨ The Importance of Programming when Starting Gym - ✨ When I first started training, I honestly just went and did random things in the gym. And obviously when you first start, it’s a bit hard because unless you have a personal trainer - which I didn’t, you don’t really know where to start. I had my boyfriend, but he only knew how to train like a guy and our physique goals were so different so he wasn’t much help. ✨ If you are just starting, my advice would be do your research!! I didn’t start researching til like 6 months in and honestly I feel like if I had done that when I first started, I would have made heaps more progress because the first 6 months, literally nothing changed. This is why you need a PROGRAM! ✨ Simply put, to make gains in the gym, you have to have progressive overload and you can’t progressively overload (improve via form, weights or sets ) if you are always doing something new!! This is my NUMBER ONE tip if you’re struggling and don’t know where to start; decide how many days you want to go and create a program based on that. ✨ For example, you might wanna go 3 x per week and hit legs twice and upper body twice; you can split your days into quads/glutes, hammies/glutes and full upper body. Instagram is super helpful with this if you are stumped but try to keep it simple and incorporate compound movements like deadlifts on hamstring days and squats on quad days plus hip thrusts OBVIOUSLY. With upper body, just try to hit each muscle group once. I know it sounds complicated and I’m happy to help but I promise that once you have a program, your gains will come way faster. ✨ If you can afford it, a personal trainer or an online program is always helpful as well. I found that I really benefited from buying online programs as it introduced me to different styles of training. ✨ An important thing to remember when you are programming is that everyone body is different and what might work for someone else might not work for you so it’s important to switch out exercises if you don’t feel like they are benefiting you. It took me a long time to find what really works for my body, but all worth it in the end ❣️

You CAN do that thing you’re afraid of doing. You ARE worth love. You ABSOLUTELY deserve the best. It starts in the kitchen. 1️⃣Go to the store after you’ve eaten. 🍽 2️⃣When at the grocery store, think about “walking the square”, most processed foods are in the isles. (Veggies, fruits, meat, check out ).🥦🍓🍗 3️⃣If you don’t buy it, you can’t eat it. 4️⃣MEAL PREP, MEAL PREP, MEAL PREP. the moment I’m hungry, boom....my meal is there.🥗 5️⃣Snacks in my fridge, cabinets, car, backpack, purse....always ready. I have a protein bar or some fruit at hand, ALWAYS to help prevent any spur of the moment bad eating habits. 🎒👜🍏 ✨This is not a “eat healthy for a month” type of thing for me. It’s a LIFESTYLE. I feel better, look better, and over function better when I eat clean. That doesn’t mean I don’t have cheat meals (I’m human too ), it just means I’m not dieting but eating healthy. ✨What are your healthy eating tips?!
