It's time for a Boot Camp Brag! Every 6-week session of Boot Camp starts and ends with an assessment. Here's what that entails. Everyone does 15 squats, 10 push-ups and 5 burpees, repeating that set as many times as possible for 10 minutes. The participants get a two-minute recovery, then they run a timed mile, which is 4 laps on the WVU track. Boot Camp instructor Leanne DiAngelo records everyone's results on the first and last Monday of the class. The goal is to meet or beat the first set of numbers. You ever have one of those days that just don't go as planned from the start? . Today was one of those for me. I was immediately 2 hours behind schedule. When I get off schedule, I get cranky and depressed. I ALMOST skipped out on my workout this morning. . Instead I pulled up my big girl pants and forced myself to finish. I’m officially that crazy person who wakes up to do a long run before a 12 hour shift. . How did I get here. . Consistent 11 mile progression run this morning after a 0.5 mile warm up right at 05:09AM. Check my story to see my splits. Very pleased!! . Used 2 @guenergylabs chews before the run and 2 more at the halfway point. Definitely needed that boost this morning 💪🏼🏃🏽‍♀️ . My 5k plan has made me plan almost every hour of my day, but I do it so I can intelligently fit these workouts into my busy schedule.
