Excited to move back to heavy deads with this protocol...been months since I lifted anything over 200lbs, so stuck with the low end of my 6-8 targeted reps to ease back in. Warmups at 135 and 155, then working sets at 195, 200, 205 (vids in reverse order ). All with resets to make them harder 🤪. Its a leg day today! I’m still in my #spartanvirtual recovery so I didn’t do a run today 🤪. + I went for a -to failure for my pull-ups and I saw shadows of flying feet(? )! It kinda freaked me out cus I was buzzed 😅🤩 (Tsinelas lang pala ) —————————————————- Here’s the lower split! On top of my #pullups I make sure to target other parts of my body too. Killing my legs should be done at least twice a week so here’s another #fitness tweak for you guys! #legday Drop-sets! Along with tempo work (slowing down your repetitions, you can make it even harder to go for drop-sets. Drop-sets are what the name suggests! Exercises you do until you can’t (until ya drop 😩 ) Remember that if you wanna save up on #homeworkouts slowing down the tempo of your workouts is the way to go 🤔😉! Tag a friend who would love this!! 😍🍌 Peanut Butter Banana Baked Oatmeal by @feelgoodfoodie . INGREDIENTS 2 cups old-fashioned oats 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1 teaspoon baking powder ¼ teaspoon salt 2 over ripe bananas 1 ½ cups almond milk ¼ cup creamy peanut butter 2 tablespoons maple syrup 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed 1 teaspoon vanilla extract . INSTRUCTIONS Preheat the oven to 375° F. In an 8x11 inch baking dish, combine the oats, cinnamon, baking powder and salt. In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas, then add the almond milk, peanut butter, maple syrup, flaxseed and vanilla extract. Allow the mixture to stand for 5 minutes for the flaxseed to set. Pour over the wet ingredients over the oat mixture and stir to combine. Bake uncovered in the preheated oven until the top of the oatmeal is golden and the mixture is set, about 30-35 minutes. Remove and allow it to cool for 5 minutes. ✨How can I build muscle or lose weight with no gym?⁣✨ ⁣ Trust me, I know it’s harder to workout from home without gym equipment or heavy weights...⁣ ⁣ But it’s still doable because all of my clients have been working out from home for the past 3-4 months and they’re slowly seeing changes!🤩⁣ ⁣ With many gyms closing back up, I figured I would give you my best tips for home workouts💪🏾⁣ ⁣ My clients are working out 5 times a week from home (with only a couple dumbbells or resistance bands ) & still following a flexible meal plan to reach their goals 😊⁣ ⁣ ❎ Build out a home workout plan so you have something to follow.⁣ ❎ Superset most exercises (this means you do 2 exercises back to back before resting )⁣ ❎ If you don’t have heavy weights (like resistance bands or small dumbbells ), do as many reps as possible.⁣ ❎ Switch up the exercises everyday so you don’t get bored.⁣ ❎ Don’t forget about cardio.⁣ ❎ Add a couple HIIT workouts weekly.⁣ ❎ Eat better, cook more at home, cook healthier meals, or follow a meal plan because nutrition is key all the time!⁣ ⁣ Hope this helps 😊⁣ ⁣ Message me if you have questions about your fitness goals during quarantine!💪🏾 .
