It's mid-June and my Walking Iris/Neomarica/Apostle Plants are still blooming. They have been blooming since April throughout the entire pandemic shutdown. Almost every day I have new blossoms. #neomarica #walkingiris #apostleplantblooming #nycshutdown2020 #day95 #uppermanhattan #washingtonheights #hudsonheightsnyc #gothamistathome #gothamist #newyorkcity2020

Spring 2020 was a very odd time in NYC. As the #pandemic grew, the streets emptied, fear and loneliness blanketed the city. This collaboration is a solo guitar arrangement by #tonyrichardsguitar . Music by the great Henry Mancini. . . #pandemic2020 #pandemiclife #pandemic2020 😷 #coronavirus #corona ❤️ #covidstoriesnyc #covidart #pandemic

Harlem has always been synonymous with African-American culture. It’s a special place to me. I used to spend my childhood summers visiting relatives who lived and ran businesses in the area. Now more than ever, these businesses needs our help, especially the restaurants. I’ve listed some of my favs @harlemshakenyc @sylviasrestaurant @lolosshacks @melbasharlem @angelofharlemny @rubysvintageharlem @pontybistroharlem @roosterharlem (hasn’t reopened yet ) . I’ll be sharing more in the weeks ahead. Feel free to recommend your favorites below. #Harlem #NewYorkCity

The streets of SoHo are so quiet

The third of June, 2020, at 7:00 am. A quiet moment at Muscota Marsh in Inwood Hill Park at the top of Manhattan. It's high tide and the water level is very high. The highest I've ever seen it. NYC is under curfew from 8 pm - 5 am every night this week. There has not been a curfew in NYC in recent memory. They think there might have been one in WW I or WW II but no one remembers. #nycshutdown2020 #day82 #nyccurfew8to5 #inwoodhillparknyc #muscotamarsh #uppermanhattan #tipofmanhattan #gothamistathome #gothamist

These streets look quiet now but won’t be for much longer. NYC is getting ready to finally open up!! 🗽♥️🗽 #NewYorkCity

Central Park was too crowded yesterday, so we dipped away and walked the tree-lined streets. Thankfully, Open Streets had closed some streets to traffic allowing more room for pedestrians 🦮🚶🏻‍♀️🚶🏻

One of New York’s oldest neighborhoods is the Lower East Side. It has been home to immigrants from all over the world. It’s artsy, gritty, a mix of old & new. A rich and diverse history. What New York is all about #NewYorkCity ♥️
