I have found over the years that starting something is always the hardest part. Once you pluck up the courage, the inner strength to press the go button and you start, it is a relief, it is an achievement in itself and you feel like a weight has just been lifted. It applies to all aspects of life, not just to fitness. It applies also to small things. It doesn't have to be a monumental task. Actually a baby step can turn into a stride, a leap and eventually into a somersault. There might be a few stumbles along the way but at least you are on your way. You can pick yourself up, learn from the fall, become stronger and keep going armed with that knowledge.. If you don't start, you can't progress Whatever you are trying to achieve, you can start today. One of the biggest game-changers I’ve learned from my fitness coach that affected ALL aspects of my life was the importance of continuing to take steps forward, even if the pace fluctuates.⁣ ⁣ That it’s not about maintaining a certain speed… it’s the direction I’m going, and whether I’m still moving. ⁣ ⁣ Trip-ups WILL come… and accepting that truth was the most freeing thing I could have done!! "The difference between who you are and who you want to be is what you do". This post is a self-reminder of the progression I've made from 2019 to 2020. . . For YEARS I was uncomfortable in my body and would set myself up for failure by dieting (counting calories and macros ) or exercises that were not effective for my body. That was a vicious cycle not only physically but mentally because I was constantly not seeing results. Always thinking I was stuck in a never-ending battle with myself. I still deal with that on some days but I've learned how to pick myself back up during those funks, because mental health is the root of it all. Today I feel leaner, stronger, and happier psychically and most important mentally. Shoutout to my coach and friend @_lisa .kinder_ for making it a lot easier for me to reach my goals through your constant support, motivation, and kickass workouts. These days I look forward to every moment I get to work out because it's become a lifestyle that fuels my mind, body, and soul. . . If you are feeling down about yourself, I am here for you. Know that we all have to start somewhere to make the change - it starts with yourself! Take it day by day and love yourself. ♥️
