Week 7. Day 4. Coach: @micah_marino Reflections: My forearms are begging for a break. In combination with the wider bench and low bar squats, they are not keeping up with the volume and intensity. On the plus side, bench is feeling strong, especially the 3 sec pauses. I live for the longer pause. It gives me a mental boost unlike anything else. I’m holding some extra unwanted body fat right now, so it’s back on the chicken, rice, and green vegetable train for a little bit. Sometimes you have to be honest with yourself and face your weaknesses. Mine is definitely overeating. It’s usually not a big deal for me since I normally train heavy on top of being a #union #laborer But when you eat Popeye’s and breakfast baconators all the time you start to get fat. Oh, I did actually do my prescribed work too tho. Here’s my first and last set of 551lbs for triples and a set of my 476lb speed trips as well. Everything moved well. 410lbs for 5x5 Followed with 3x5 paused 295lbs These felt pretty good. Trying to break at my hips and knees at the same time in wraps is hard for me for some reason. I want my knees to track forward but still hinge back further then what I’ve been doing. I’m gonna keep working at it sense it’s pretty light weight right now. Super loose wraps.

🤦🏻‍♀️ When someone tries to trip you up!⠀ ⠀ Story of my LIFE!! 😂⠀ ⠀ This girl, trying to invade my space! The nerve! 😂 ⠀ 😁 I've been through so many obstacles to get to where I am today! 👏⠀ ⠀ 😍 But my strong determination to get out of the hole I was in was stronger than the events and people who tried to stop me.⠀ ⠀ 😀 As a mom of four by 19, on welfare, living in my parents house to living in motels... I've had plenty of struggles to overcome.⠀ ⠀ 😂 Plenty of people who told me my life wouldn't be successful if I had my kids so young. ⠀ ⠀ 😍 They obviously didn't know who they were talking to! 😂⠀ ⠀ 👉 I always get asked 'How did you do it!!!??'⠀ ⠀ 👉 Truth is- it was far from perfection! FAR FROM PERFECTION.⠀ ⠀ But I had a vision for my kids to grow up as strong responsible adults and that meant lots of sacrifices and having a goal oriented mindset. 💯 ⠀ ⠀ I remember walking to look for jobs at little fast food restaurants. 😕⠀ ⠀ I was turned away because I didn't have my diploma. I couldn't even get a job at a burger joint!! 😕⠀ ⠀ So what did I do... I went back to school and eventually found a career I've held onto for 20+ years AND am building my own online biz!
