Day 28 of 365 My mindset is in a rough place today. I struggled to get out of bed, I struggled to get ready, every little thing that went wrong made me upset and work just hasn’t been the best today. Living with depression and anxiety is fucking rough. I always try to be positive and happy but sometimes this shit hits me like a damn train. After work today I think I will be practicing a little self care. I think I need it. It’s okay to struggle and it’s okay to be sad. Just remember to never let yourself sit in that place for too long. What a transformation this was from my client Doctor Becky 🔥 I'm so proud of her and how far she has come on her journey! 😀 Becky's goal was to lose a bit of weight and trim up to make herself feel better 😬 But she went above and beyond her own expectations! 👌🏻 She completely changed her shape and physique, gained a tonne of strength, feeling so much better mentally, and even added a little bit of muscle mass too 💪🏻 Becky also plays netball so her training methods, nutritional implementation, and overall improvement in body composition has contributed in greater performances on the court 😅 Previously a student she lived a typical student lifestyle. The only reason I could wear a size 50 was because I always wore my pants under my belly instead of around my waist like normal. I use to think that wearing my pants around my waist would make me look even bigger! It’s funny how our minds work when we are morbidly Obese. So many little things that I use to think made a difference in my appearance lol...ultimately you just can’t hide 405lbs from the world 🤷🏻‍♂️. Since I wore my pants under my waist I ALWAYS had to have my pants altered for length. Even if I bought 29” L pants I still needed them shorter. * * * Now a days I wear 34” pants and I wear them properly around my waist. This also means that I no longer have to have my pants altered! I can simply buy 34x30 off the rack and wear them the same day!!! That’s just another small benefit of getting healthy! It’s also nice no longer fearing the dryer and fearing that my clothes are going to just keep getting tighter and tighter with each use. I remember when I bought an article of clothing I really loved I’d wear it as many times as possible before ever washing it because I just knew it’d never fit the same again. All I could say was “awww” when I saw this one 🥰. It’s just so gosh darn cute! 😃 I always love seeing “before and after” pictures where people look happy in both. Do you guys feel that way too? To be fair, I had already made lots of lifestyle and mindset changes on the left, so I was feeling pretty good. Never underestimate the importance of your mental health and mindset. I honestly believe being moderately to strongly “stable” in my mental health has made a huge difference in terms of my decisions and sticking to this journey. As soon as I feel my mental health going down, I quickly spiral! Thankfully never for too long these days 🙈
