Young footballer this is for you!! Fast twitch activation for Sprinting: when it comes to running faster the objective is to increase CADENCE (or number of steps one foot takes per minute ). One of the main drivers for this is SAGITTAL HIP MOTION, which is initiated by HIP FLEXORS and GLUTEUS. When training these muscle groups it is performed unilaterally (or one side only ) with the isolated side under contant tension, hence why I planter flex my toes to engage all the muscle on the weight bearing leg to mimic the effects of running. Focus on quality of reps to develop efficiency (5-8reps max. with multiple sets ) and then move onto timed reps to develop lactate conditioning (e.g 30secs each legs - 10s rest ). #sprinttraining #running #plyometrics #strengthandconditioning #core #bodyweightexercises #londonfitness #physicaleducation

Quality session this morning. Here’s proof that not everyone is using a barbell ALL the time (just a lot of the time ) in our sessions. Although I don’t think core work is the end all be all of every program as some people may think. it is Important to challenge your clients ability to use their core in a variety of ways. Half Turkish get ups being a very complex way (first video ) to ab rollouts (third video ) being less complex but still challenging. Todays leg day was a absolute struggle. After yesterday's boxing session my legs were were already half dead but I hate skipping or delaying legs day so wekt ahead with it. I feel my form not on point, you can watch the video and let me know if you're opinion differs or not lol. I didnt even want to go all the way down on my squat because I didn't know if I would be able to come back up 🤷‍♂️ lol. But how ever the workout was done I wanted it to he completed and it was which was good enough for me! I went to the park after the session was completed and completed one lap around the park and after that it was game over. The reason I am making my legs work is because they were not worked enough. • 𝔸𝕓𝕕𝕠𝕞𝕚𝕟𝕒𝕚𝕤 : Ao realizarmos exercícios para a musculatura abdominal , estamos estimulando a massa muscular dessa região . Porém realizar esses exercícios para a região abdominal não tem nada a ver com a gordura localizada do abdômen , ou seja, não conseguimos promover uma “ queima “ de gordura nessa região fazendo inúmeros abdominais . Para diminuir o percentual de gordura da região abdominal é necessário um treino adequado para promover esse objetivo associado a uma alimentação adequada e ajustada individualmente a cada indivíduo . Qual o melhor estímulo para a musculatura dessa região ? Existem três tipos de contrações musculares : concêntricas , em que existe um encurtamento do músculo ; excêntricas, onde existe um alongamento do músculo ; e as contrações isométricas , onde o tamanho do músculo se mantém . Os exercícios abdominais não se adequam a todas as pessoas da mesma forma . Por isso, devemos sempre optar pela ajuda de um Personal Trainer antes de selecionarmos os exercícios que devemos realizar . Em alguns casos o cuidado deve ser redobrado , nem sempre todas as pessoas estão aptas para realizar esses exercícios . Cuidados com a coluna , sobrecarga , diástase , pressão abdominal , hérnia de disco , entre outros fatores devem ser levados em conta ao saber avaliar se o aluno pode ou não realizar este tipo de exercício . Algumas dicas super importantes para você não esquecer e aplicar na realização destes exercícios : 1. Evitar bloquear a respiração . Há semelhança dos demais tipos de exercício físico , um bloqueio na respiração irá aumentar significativamente a pressão sanguínea ; 2. Começar por períodos de tempo mais curtos e aumentar gradualmente a intensidade no caso das isometrias ; 3. Garantir um bom alinhamento corporal, mantendo uma postura correta durante a execução dos exercícios . É importante lembrar que a principal função da musculatura abdominal é a de estabilização e suporte para nosso corpo , sendo que , por este motivo , devemos sempre adequar os exercícios à função específica de cada músculo/grupo muscular de acordo com a necessidade individual de cada pessoa .
