✅ This is also true when an obstacle comes which will 100% happen along the way. As a entrepreneur you will have to figure a way out of it and shift your strategy for sucess‼ 🔹️People don't always talk about the struggles they people go through in their path to success but for most it isn't a straight path. That's why it's important to have mentors and supportive people that guide you.🔹️ 👉🏾 Comment "I'm ready" if you're prepared to overcome obstacles.

30 days of ᗷᒪᗩᑕK TᖇIᐯIᗩ- Day 2 What patriotic song was allegedly inspired by Sam Houston's love affair with a free mulatto woman from New Haven? ....... The current debate over monuments has me thinking 🤔 the world is filled with beautiful displays of our collective checkered past. As a child, this one in particular used to scare the heck out of me because unique positioning makes it look like he's headed your way as you drive past him at night 😳 🧟‍♂️ Remind me to tell you how I got over my fear of large statues likely triggered by this one here 😂

Thursday thoughts.... As I reflect on the July 4th celebration I am reminded of the words of Frederick Douglas..... “What to the slave is the Fourth of July” “The rich inheritance of justice, liberty, prosperity and independence, bequeathed by your fathers, is shared by you, not by me.” “The sunlight that brought light and healing to you, has brought stripes and death to me.” “This Fourth of July is yours, not mine. “You may rejoice, I must mourn” Frederick Douglas, July 5th, 1852. Black and Brown people are still experiencing grave inequality and injustices. And we have an occupant in the White House that wants to move us backwards and divide us as opposed to UNITE us. 😢😢 #blacklivesmatter #nopeacenojustice #endracism #abolishwhitesupremacy #reparations #webuiltthiscountry #equality #allmenarecreatedequal #frederickdouglass #georgefloyd #justiceforgeorgefloyd #justiceforbreonnataylor #justiceforahmaudarbery #justiceforblacklives #blackhistoryiseveryday

“Until the philosophy which holds one race superior and another inferior is finally and permanently discredited and abandoned, everywhere is war. And until there are no longer first-class and second-class citizens of any nation, until the colour of a man's skin is of no more significance than the colour of his eyes. And until the basic human rights are equally guaranteed to all without regard to race, there is war. And until that day, the dream of lasting peace, world citizenship, rule of international morality, will remain but a fleeting illusion to be pursued, but never attained... now everywhere is war.” -Haile Selassie I, Selected Speeches

The Black Owned Way ✊🏾 Warren Pegram and his stepson, Charlston Austin, have opened an Ace Hardware franchise in their neighborhood in the city of South Fulton, Georgia. It is one of the first hardware stores in their community. Its opening came right on time as the city has been encouraging more small businesses to do business in the area. The Ace Hardware franchise promises to particularly offer home improvement products that are most needed in the community. Pegram said that unlike other franchises, they will also sell party rental equipment such as commercial grade snow cone machines, inflatables, popcorn machines, and many more. Austin, who used to work as a former retail account executive, is making sure to connect with the community to know the products they need and to be able to provide it in their hardware store. His father, on the other hand, is ensuring the high level of customer service so everyone who comes to the store will have an awesome shopping experience. Because of the newest hardware store in the area, residents in the community don't have to go further away for their home improvement needs. They are also hoping to inspire the younger generations to become entrepreneurs. Follow @thebrandstartup for more black success.

👏🏾👏🏾 Danielle Mullen, the owner of Semicolon Bookstore, a Black-owned book store in Chicago, says that the global Black Lives Matter campaign has resulted in a huge financial boost for her business. She says that her store has gone from selling 3,000 books a week to 50,000 books a week. As a woman-owned business, Danni says that her store is committed to having a direct impact on raising literacy rates in Chicago and beyond. She is selling books both online and inside her recently-reopened shop located at 515 North Halsted Street. "We were created with one thing in mind — community," she says. Even Danni admits that she struggles to keep up, and they've even had to unplug the store's phone. “We couldn’t answer it and answer email and fulfill orders at the same time,” she said. “We now have almost 60,000 followers on Instagram — and we’re a bookstore! We had probably 3,500 to 5,000 before.”

👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾!!! Danielle and Samiah Pasha are a mother-daughter duo from Augusta, Georgia who are taking the cosmetic world by storm with their new company, The Beat House Cosmetics. The duo successfully launched their boxing-inspired cosmetic line on Juneteenth of this year. Danielle, who is the architect behind the line comments, “I am so blown away by all of the positive feedback I have received from everyone, it’s so surreal.” Keep reading This is understandable when you figure that Mrs. Danielle has been in Afghanistan for the last 3 years while developing this line. Mother: I remember Facetiming my daughter, giving her instructions and tasks to help me out with the business in my absence and now we are partners! Yes, you heard that right, partners! Danielle recruited the most beautiful person she knew to team up with for this makeup line, her 14-year old daughter who has set the internet ablaze as the face and acting CEO of the company while Danielle was away. She has now assumed her role as President since her mother’s return in May. Daughter: “Most teenagers are irritated by their parents and wouldn’t dare want to work with them, (I’m still irritated at times lol ) but I remember missing my mom and not knowing when I would see her again, so I enjoy every second we get to spend together. Besides, I absolutely love makeup,” says Miah. Together, they are empowering people to take risks, never give up, discover new ways to express themselves, and show-off their own originality and eccentricity. Offering a wide range of products for all age groups and lifestyles. This cosmetic line is dedicated to beating the odds, beating self-doubt, and beating adversity. Invest in black-owned businesses 🙏🏾 As reported, the legendary rapper and businessman's venture capital firm Marcy Venture Partners (MVP ) led a $1 million seed funding round with a company that specializes in making vegan cookies. The company, Partake Foods, is a Black-owned start-up that makes health-conscious food products and specializes in producing food items that are free of the United State's top eight allergens. Partake Foods was founded in 2016 by former Coca-Cola national sales director Denise Woodard. The decision to start her own company was directly inspired by her daughter developing a severe allergy to several foods. Owner said: "I couldn't figure out how to make a gluten-free, corn-free, egg-free cookie, so I went to buy one, but couldn't find any," Woodard shared with People at the time. The cookies that Partake Foods makes are completely vegan and are free of peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, milk, soy, gluten, fish and shellfish, as well as are non-GMO, free of artificial flavors, and free of preservatives. As reported by Entrepreneur, Partake Foods can be found in over 300 stores and are expected to more than triple that number by year's end. Follow @thebrandstartup for more black success stories.
