“Do not get lost in a sea of despair. Be hopeful. Our struggle is not the struggle of a day, a week, a month, or a year, it is the struggle of a lifetime. Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble.” @RepJohnLewis . RP via @ImaginexJustice . #BlackLivesMatter
Amazing! Powerful images from a recent #WeMatterToo protest against the inhumane treatment of people who are currently incarcerated in our nation's prisons, jails and detention centers as COVID-19 continues to spread. Special thanks to our Partner @ConCre8tes for standing with our brothers and sisters inside! Take action today by clicking the link in my bio! RP via @ImaginexJustice .

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” Dr. King. The name of our campaign #WeMatterToo is derived from this image of a man who is incarcerated at Cook County Jail who wrote: HELP. WE MATTER 2. We honor him and other people who are currently incarcerated during this global pandemic by fighting to improve conditions inside our nation’s jails, prisons and detention centers and calling on those in power to release more people, especially those who are at highest risk for COVID-19. One of the 1st records I ever remember hearing is Songs in the Key of Life. My babysitters, Valencia and Sheree, used to play Italy the time. One of the 1st records I remember ever buying was Stevie Wonders Hotter than July and I would play it everyday. Basically, Mr Wonder, you have shaped my life and changed my life. You’ve inspired my life so it’s only right I celebrate yours as you are one of the greatest creators, songwriters, vocalist and voice of the people to ever touch the planet. It’s like you’re harmonizing with our creator to give us songs of freedom, joy and love that makes us move. Thank you for being you and using your gifts to be a conduit of GODs music and love. Love You. “Happy Birthday to Ya “. Love Common
Let this time show us that we are all interconnected. We have to be there for our vulnerable communities including our people who are currently incarcerated. Our fates are tied together so we must be courageous and act now. I’m proud to launch #WeMatterToo today alongside 70+ organizations who have dedicated their time and energy to supporting our brothers and sisters currently in prisons, jails and detention centers around the country during this scary and uncertain time. Every single life matters. Take action today by clicking the link in my bio!
Though I didn’t get to know you well my brother, for what you mean to Hip-Hop culture and Black Music , you helped change my life. Me and my cousins were rocking Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde, and of course, your inspiration of Uptown , MCA, and Bad Boy helped shaped my life. Thank you for bringing you spirit and soul to the art form and music and therefore bringing a lot of and good times to many. GOD bless your soul and may your spirit live on in all who you have affected. Prayers for family and loved ones. GOD Bless
Happy Friday everybody! Have a blessed weekend! This is a great workout with @ybwellness for you to get into sometime this weekend or whenever you get the inspiration. Let’s Go!
“His heart was just bigger than life.” Ahmaud Arbery’s father describes his son. Today would’ve been Ahmaud’s 26th Birthday. He should be celebrating it with his friends and family. Sending Love and Light to his Loved ones on what should’ve been a day of celebration. RP via @ImaginexJustice .
